Join us for a long weekend of adventure and exploration as we explore Virginia's two most popular rail trails - the New River Trail and the Virginia Creeper Trail. This experience is perfect for those who love bicycling and want to immerse themselves in the history, culture, and hidden gems of this beautiful state.

Our journey will take us through charming small towns, each with its own unique character and charm. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the rich history of these small communities, from their early settlements to their role in shaping Virginia's culture.

But it's not just the towns that make this trip special - we'll also encounter some amazing wildlife along the way. Keep an eye out for the famous wild horses that call Grayson Highlands home, an experience that will surely take your breath away.

As we make our way along the New River Trail, you'll be surrounded by stunning landscapes and breathtaking views. This 57-mile trail winds through lush forests, past tranquil rivers and streams, and even offers a glimpse into Native American history with its many archaeological sites.

The Virginia Creeper Trail is equally as impressive, taking us on a 34-mile journey through some of the most scenic areas in Virginia. This trail is known for its picturesque bridges, including the iconic trestle bridge that spans across the lush Whitetop Laurel Creek.

No matter which trail we're on, our long weekend adventure will be filled with unforgettable experiences and memories. Ability Level: Easy - The rail trails are relatively flat. E-bikes or a hybrid are recommended. Suspension is a plus since the trails can be bumpy in places.

Mileage: 30-45 miles each day but we can SAG you at any point.

Terrain: Pea size gravel trails

Cost: $1,695 Single, $1,545 Double occupancy


Tour Itinerary

  • 2:00pm - Meet at the Hampton Inn, Roanoke, Virginia

    2:30pm - Intro ride around Roanoke

    4:00pm - Check into hotel

    6:00pm - Dinner at Billy’s in Roanoke

  • 7:00am - Breakfast

    8:00am - Drive to Draper, Virginia

    9:30am - Ride, leaving for Foster Falls State Park

    11:00am - Lunch at Foster Falls State Park

    4:00pm - Check into Hotel

    6:00pm - Dinner

    6:30pm - Visit by Edith Bolling Wilson

  • 7:00am - Breakfast

    8:00am - Leave for Grayson Highlands

    11:30am - Arrive at Whitetop, Virginia trailhead

    12:00pm - Lunch at Whitetop then ride to Abingdon

    4:00pm - Check into hotel in Abingdon

    6:00pm - Dinner

  • 8:00am - Breakfast

    9:00am - Leave Abingdon, ride to Damascus

    10:30am - Pick up, head to Roanoke

    12:30pm - Drop off riders, depart
